Bulls receive apology over claim

Bulls receive apology over claim
Bradford Bulls have won an apology and a published retraction from the publishers of TV Times after they falsely claimed Great Britain hooker Terry Newton had served a drugs ban.

The allegation, which was contained in a photo caption featuring Newton ahead of the Millennium Magic weekend in Cardiff, prompted the Bulls to threaten legal action.

In a statement, a spokesman for the publishers said: “We wish to make it clear that this was published in error and is completely untrue. We apologise to Mr Newton and to the Bradford Bulls Rugby League club.”
