Robins see off rivals
Sunday, September 7th, 2008Robins see off rivals
Hull KR brought the curtain down on their season in style, winning their third derby of the year against arch-rivals Hull FC 36-8.
Justin Morgan’s men will now finish the campaign in seventh place after their six-try showing in the 206th Hull derby in front of a record crowd of 10,197 at the new Craven Park.
Seventh place represents a fine achievement for the Robins in only their second season in the top flight, although they were not worked too hard by a Hull side still smarting from their Challenge Cup Final defeat to St Helens a week ago.

Warrington coach James Lowes could not hide his disappointment after watching his side fritter away the chance of a home tie in the engage Super League play-offs.
The Wolves ended the regular season with four straight defeats, culminating in a 38-20 thrashing by lowly Huddersfield at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday night.
“It was shocking,” admitted Lowes. “We were poor throughout and I’m not very happy at all. We have a lot of things to work on. We seem to have a bit of a wall.
